The Specials Return to the U.S. Via Jimmy Fallon

The Specials' Terry HallAfter more than two decades of dormancy, British ska revivalists the Specials reunited last year in time for a celebratory 30th anniversary tour. That jaunt, which trekked across the U.K., kicked off with a BBC television appearance on “Later … With Jules Holland.”

Billboard now reports that the Specials will mark their long-awaited return to the United States on April 13 with a televised performance on NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” Those keeping score already know that the Specials will then head to the Southern California desert for a highly-anticipated set at Coachella on April 16. One additional U.S. performance has been announced so far — April 21 in New York — with at least a few more on deck.
