This is an inspirational CD in every sense of the word. Tracy’s vocals are amazing, his band is superb, and the selection of songs were obviously well chosen from a talented group of writers. From the timely, UP TO HIM, to the heart-wrenching, SOMEBODY WHO WOULD DIE FOR YOU. This musical compliation compares to Tracy’s body of work, in the sense that he knows how to touch people with his songs, and isn’t afraid to make his OWN style of music, whether it be traditional country, or contemporary christian country.

What an album! It’s become a staple for country music artists to put up a collection of Christian songs and lump it in an album, especially in the latter parts of their careers. Some pull it off, and some just make a mess. This one falls in the category of the former. The songs and Tracy’s trademark “nasal-y” vocals combine to make for a very relevant Christian album. The biggest standaout to me is “The Book You Never Read”, a unique track of the Bible being the first-person telling the story of what it is and what it has done over the course of its existence, generation upon generation.

Whether you’re a fan of Country or christian music, this album will bring you back to faith. The songs are strong and they will entertain you.
