WHAT an exciting EP! zolof and the rock n roll destroyer is such an amazing band. they’re easy to listen and be addicted to, so why are they still broke?

i remember buying a belt from them, and one of the band members was like “ha thanx that’ll buy my breakfast!” i hope he was kidding, because i really want this band to continue making awesome music!

zolof has developed from indie rock in their fisrt album to this new fast rockin’ sound. the songs are a bit short, but nothing you’ll regret buying. however, i’d only buy it if i had an ipod or something, because it’s a hug pain to change cd after 15 minutes of music.

if you’re still not sure if u’d wanna spend so much money for a 5 song cd, check out their myspace:

most of the band members has a myspace i think.

omg check out their video and how ADORABLE they are!!

enjoy!

I recently saw this group live in concert with Reel Big Fish, and I must say, I loved them. I would describe them as a power pop / rock group. Rachel, the vocalist, is female, and she also plays keyboard, which will have you hooked the moment you hear it in conjunction with the guitars and drums rocking out. The guitarist also lends his vocals into some of the songs as well. Now, onto the EP…

Two songs on this cd “Argh, I’m a pirate” and “Crazy = cute” sound just like the stuff you’ll be listening to on their Jalopy Go Far cd (which I love). However, the other tracks are a bit more straightforward, and/or have a slightly more serious tone to them. (i.e. - “This was all a bad idea” sounds more like a regular punk rock song, there’s a slower pace/less keyboard in the other two songs) Some people may like this, some may hate it. Personally I thought the change in sound was great. Diversity in sound is a GOOD thing!

So give this one a listen…. especially if you’ve seen Zolof live, ‘cuz they often play “Argh, I’m a pirate!” and “This was all a bad idea” !
