This song was a popular AM radio hit and has graduated to be a sport and movie sound track icon. So much so that it tempted me to go and buy the CD to have this song always available for my playlists. The only trouble is that after a short while, the repeated melody wears thin. The lyrics, simply “rock and roll, rock and roll” become more of a moronic chant that a child would make up if they didn’t know the real words to the song. There is a reason this song is very popular at sporting events and in movie soundtracks. That reason is: they don’t have to play the entire song.
