Robert PlantA longtime American festival standard, the Telluride Bluegrass festival, held annually in the rural and scenic town of Telluride, Colo. for nearly four decades, has announced this year’s initial lineup. Robert Plant and the Band of Joy (pictured) tops the bill, followed by a unique and intriguing supergroup calling themselves the Telluride House Band. That band’s roster includes Bela Fleck, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Edgar Meyer, Bryan Sutton and Stuart Duncan.

And while those musicians also appear to be playing the festival with their own respective projects — along with staples such as Yonder Mountain String Band and Emmylou Harris — the four-day event traditionally features more than just strictly bluegrass. So far, this year’s most notable wild card is the Decemberists.
