Following in the footsteps of the Grateful Dead, Jimmy Buffett and Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam will get their own Sirius XM station, starting Friday, Oct. 22. Dubbed “Pearl Jam Radio,” the channel is in honor of the 20th anniversary of the band’s first live show, and, in fitting fashion, will kick things off at 6PM ET with an airing of Pearl Jam’s 10th anniversary concert from Oct. 22, 2000. Also scheduled are select offerings from the band’s first-ever concert from Seattle’s Off Ramp Café.
Day-to-day offerings of assorted Pearl Jam programming include rare and unheard tracks from the band’s vaults, side-projects and pre-Pearl Jam bands, as well as a fan roundtable show called “All Encompassing Trip.” Hosted by Ten Club manager Tim Bierman, devotees will be invited in to talk all things Pearl Jam.
