It’s not every day a prison inmate will receive a letter from Sir Paul McCartney — but George Michael isn’t your everyday prisoner.

The singer has received a hand-written letter penned by McCartney in an effort to help him through his time in prison, reports The Sun.

Michael was incarcerated for crashing a car into the Hampstead branch of Snappy Snaps after smoking cannabis and was sentenced to eight weeks.

Speaking about the letter, a source told the newspaper, “He got the letter on Monday and was really chuffed. Sir Paul said he would see him soon and told George to keep his chin up. The letter was two pages long and George read it over and over again.”
