i’m one happy monkey listening to this cd! delightful toe-tappin’, hand-clappin’, & head-slappin’ at the wonderful sounds… this cd has not left my car since i got it. the songs are smart, sweet & funky, my friends. buy this cd & make yerself happy! ear-candy with some intelligence to back it up…most so-called soundtracks are nothing more than a bunch o’ pop crap thrown together to sell the newest hit artist whatever record company’s put out the cd wants you to buy, sometimes with no relation to the film itself! here the ever-delightful karyn rachtman (the force behind the soundtracks to pulp fiction, romeo & juliet & boogie nights to name a few) concocts another brilliant mix of musical styles & ideas. this cd allowed me to find great acts like moloko & spy & to further appreciate mark mothersbaugh (of devo fame), fatboy slim (here under the name o’ freakpower), &, of course, the under-appreciated violent femmes… am i gushing? just buy the freakin’ cd already so i’ll shut up! as flaming carrot sez: “the wild shall wild remain!”
