Mark Douglas of the comedy group The Key of Awesome certainly knows how to keep a marriage strong. For his first anniversary, Douglas decided to write his wife, Anastasia, a song complete with self-deprecating jokes and a hilariously exaggerated retelling of their first date.
The video of the song, which is called simply ‘Anastasia,’ would have been funny on its own, with shots of Douglas jamming on the guitar interspersed with his reenactment of the first date. But Douglas took it up a notch by getting some backing support from his “musician friends,” who play alongside him on guitar, bass and drums. When a certain black-bespectacled lead singer jumps in to harmonize with Douglas at the song’s chorus, it becomes all too clear just who these “friends” are, if it wasn’t already: Weezer.
