Sunburn and a killer scrumpy hangover weren’t the only thing Glastonbury revellers brought home with them from their weekend on Worthy Farm. They also apparently returned to the real world with a burning desire to relive some of their festival highlights in their comfort of their own homes.

Glasto performers such as Gorillaz, Vampire Weekend, Stevie Wonder and the National saw their album sales spike after playing the bash, which was attended by over 170,000 people as well being extensively covered on BBC television and radio.

Saturday night headliners Muse seemingly benefited the most from their Pyramid Stage exposure, with punters eager to see whether latest album ‘The Resistance’ sounds as good without an accompanying laser light show. The NME reported its sales saw a 286.6 per cent sales increase.
