In this increasingly difficult climate for the music industry, many successful bands have taken to creative ways of making the advances to record their next album. But Gang of Four are taking it to the next level. Through the social networking site Pledge Music — which connects bands and fans to fundraising for albums and charities — Gang of Four are giving their followers some interesting options.
NME reports that, among other offerings, Gang of Four “are set to give away bottles of their own blood” to certain fans who donate money to the band for their new album ‘Content.’ At the Pledge Music website, other options include a helicopter ride with the band to Glastonbury this summer. “Or, you might enjoy a listen to our first ever gig,” writes the band, “…provided to you on a cassette inside a Walkman individually decorated by Andy [Gill] and Jon [King].”
