In November, news broke of a reissue of Derek and the Dominos‘ ‘Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs.’ Now, thanks to Eric Clapton’s website, we now know that a special version of the heralded 1970 album will be released in March and feature previously unavailable material.

The reissue — which also includes a double-vinyl reproduction with slightly alternate remixes — features six recordings for what was to be the band’s second album, remixed by the original sessions engineer Andy John. The group’s final recording — ‘Got to Get Better in a Little While’ — is also performed as a jam and a “fully produced studio version” completed by keyboardist Bobby Whitlock.
