My 7 year old daughter loved the movie and now loves playing the soundtrack. She was able to see Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers in concert this summer and she loves them both. We don’t care for the “Too Cool” song since it sends the wrong message to girls, but overall the songs are fun and upbeat. Demi can really sing great.
The Jonas Brothers “Play My Music” is my favorite on the album. But Demi Lovato is a very talented girl as well. There is something raw and genuine in her voice, and it really shows in “This is Me.” The songs aren’t terrible, but were you really expecting a Grammy-nominated album here? It’s good for what it is. The songs are cute, but wouldn’t particularly cut it Kiss-FM or anything. Nevertheless…I do occasionally listen to the album and like to sing along.
