Atreyu Taking a ‘Long Break’ After 11 Years Together

Like every band with a direct message to their fans these days, Atreyu took to Twitter on Thursday to make a significant announcement: the band is going on indefinite hiatus, effective immediately. And while we managed to say that in under 140 characters, it took the band four tweets to get across their message.

We’ll summarize for you — Atreyu is not breaking up, however after 11 years of going at it, they need a break. Recharge the batteries. Attend to their personal lives. And work on individual side-projects which, of course, they encourage their fans to discover and explore.
