A seven-piece band is all well and good for delivering soaring, multi-instrument backed indie rock anthems in concert, but rolling mob-handed can pose a logistical nightmare when, say, you’re required to shift the entire ensemble from Los Angeles to London in 24 hours.

Arcade Fire find themselves with just such a problem this coming weekend. The Quebecan septet are booked to play the Grammy awards in L.A. on Sunday night (or Monday morning GMT) and are also scheduled to perform at the Brit awards in London on Tuesday evening.

According to The Sun, the Canadians blagged themselves a spot on Cee-Lo Green’s private jet (the soul star is making the same inenviable award show commute) for the five-and-a-half-thousand-mile trek but had to turn down the ‘Forget You’ singer’s kind offer of seven spare seats when their itineraries didn’t quite match up.
